Grapes have to be hearty to grow around these parts, but there are few varieties that make it look easy. Sip the Polka Stomp at Sunset Point Winery, an off-sweet white made with grapes grown right here in Portage County. Or, ask for a wine-tail to combine their wine to make a special blend.
Live Music
In the summer, live music fills the night air with free live music events including the popular Levitt AMP concerts and ongoing events from Tiki Beach to Bullheads. The rest of the year, you'll find live music at venues including The Opera House, Rookies, Guu's and Great Northern Distilling.

Looking for a low-key spot to rub elbows with a mix of locals and students? Don't skip these humble establishments slinging drinks for years, like the Elbow Room, Joe's Bar, Dollar Bill's, Airport Bar, or Papa Joe's. Inside you'll find low-priced drinks mixed with local lore and distinct décor.

If you prioritize late-night snacks served up on a bun, including burgers, dogs, and sandwiches, don't skip The Big Garlic. This popular spot serves up tasty options until 9pm Monday through Saturday. Order up the Big G - a 1/3 pound burger topped with their house-made seasoning, on a toasted garlic butter kaiser roll and cheese. Trust us, the garlic breath is worth it!

Late nights were made for pizza. In the Stevens Point Area, you'll find pizza by the slice served up until 3am on Friday and Saturday at Polito's Pizza. Known for their New York style slice, it is a generous portion with a wide variety of toppings from traditional pepperoni to steak fry and mac 'n cheese. The hardest part? Picking just one!

If you find yourself hungry, but not for a meal, head to Great Northern Distilling, where they serve up a tasty shareables menu until 11pm most nights of the week. From classics, including charcuterie and soft pretzels to the more adventurous offerings like Smoked Whitefish Pate, these will definitely hit the spot. And, no, you don't have to share!
