Head on over to the UWSP bookstore located inside the Dreyfus University Center and pick up some Pointer apparel.
They sell everything from shirts to hats to keychains, perfect for your closet or to give as a gift to your family members. Rocking UWSP merch around campus is essential to feeling like a true Pointer.
Hit up the Stevens Point Convention and Visitors Bureau gift shop downtown for even more Stevens Point and UWSP merchandise!
If you're lucky enough to spot the famous pup on campus, don't be afraid to ask him for a picture! Stevie is very photogenic and rarely turns down a selfie, so don't be shy.
You can typically find Stevie at UWSP events on campus, these events are super fun to attend so it's a win-win!
Don't quite know your way around campus? Take a campus tour and learn all there is to know about the beautiful college.
If you're a lover of music seeing a live show is a must on the checklist. Whether it be downtown at the square at Notes at Night, or at PJ's restaurant while enjoying some cheese curds, there is no shortage of great music in the area. If you prefer to stay on campus, the University's Noel Fine Arts Center is always hosting student concerts, recitals, and plays.
For the 21+ Pointers, check out O'so Brewing, District 1, and Sunset Point Winery. Show off your own vocals or sit back and watch other great performances at a Partners Pub karaoke night.
Any Stevens Point Area local will tell you that Belt's is a gem in the area, and its neighbor Carl D's is just as yummy.
The two sweet shops offer their signature soft serves in cones, flurries, sundaes, shakes, and smoothies. Freshly baked brownies, homemade cookie dough, and peanut butter cups are just a few of their sweet toppings. Fresh strawberries and raspberries are added to that list when in season.
Within walking distance of the campus, there is no reason not to try these delicious spots.
Dont forget! Belt's is cash-only, so plan to stop at an ATM ahead of time or use theirs.
UW-Stevens Point offers 23 varsity sports, featuring 12 women's and 12 men's teams. On top of that, there are multiple intramurals and club teams that any and every student can get involved in!
So, deck yourself out in purple and gold, bring your highest-energy attitude, and head to one of the many sporting events! It is a great way to take a break from all your schoolwork and make some new friends with similar interests.

College can be draining, it's just a fact. The wonderful thing about going to UWSP is that there are 5 miles of trails to explore right in your backyard!
Walking or biking through the scenic trails of Schmeekle Reserve and seeing the wildlife milling about is a great escape from studying and attending lectures. Make sure to utilize the buddy system if you are new to the winding trails, as it's easy to get lost in the beauty of the 280-acre reserve.
Whether you are looking for a spot to study and decompress or just need to grab a morning cup of coffee, the Brewhaus is the place to be on campus.
The Basement Brewhaus is located in-you guessed it-the basement of the Dreyfus University Center. It brings students and staff together for some delicious drinks, a friendly game of pool, great food, and so much more.
For more energized sips, take a look at our Insiders Guide to the top coffee spots in the area (which double as great study spots).

Schedule a tour with a group of friends to learn the rich history and making of their specialty brews. End your time there by grabbing one of their six specialty sodas (or beers if you are 21+) and enjoying them in the taproom or on the Point Patio.
